The much-celebrated @comorin.in finally made its # The much-celebrated @comorin.in finally made its #Mumbai debut earlier this week!

The relaxed all-day restaurant brings its creative regional Indian cuisine to @nilaya.anthology in Lower Parel. Loved the fluid contours of the space and especially The Orangery, a gorgeous atrium filled with plants (pic 1).

The food menu is a mix of classic plates from the OG Gurgaon outpost and dishes created specifically for Mumbai. Like the Banarasi aloo papad with nimbu masala avocado, which was a hit at our table, as well as the achaari beetroot salad with tadka dahi. Other dishes that stood out included dahi batata puri (with a wasabi hit), haleen with bakarkhani, sweet corn khichdi, and Andhra gongura chicken, which came with crispy murukku.

From the large plates, the sweet and tart aam ki kadhi with khoba roti was mind-blowing while the Himachali cha gosht (cooked in buttermilk) was melt-in-the-mouth. The kitchen helmed by brand chef @chefdhirajdargan offers many vegetarian options and a separate Jain menu too.

The cocktail programme by @Varun.mixologist is on point — I absolutely loved the Nashik Spritz with gin, green apple, in-house limoncello, white wine, and ginger ale. If you're going zero-proof, you have some interesting sodas to choose from. There's also an extensive wine list led by @kevinkenrodrigues.

Obviously, we ended our meal with the signature cheeni malai toast but there's also the delish salted chikki kulfi and the new-to-Mumbai honey caramel gulgule, which comes with custard and ginger candy ice cream.

It was the perfect way to end our meal on a rainy Mumbai afternoon, made all the more fun with my lunch companions @rituparna_r @namratalaungani89 and @somethingz_not_right

Paris, je t'aime! My recent press trip was quite Paris, je t'aime!

My recent press trip was quite hectic but I had half a day free, so here's what I did:
- Hopped on the metro from Roland-Garros to Concorde
- Joined the locals and tourists in enjoying the sunshine at Tuileries Garden
- Popped into @museeorangerie to admire Monet's Water Lilies and see the eclectic Walter-Guillaume collection
- Walked across the Tuileries Garden to the Louvre (didn't go in)
- Stopped for a coffee on the terrasse of @cafe_marly with a view of the Louvre pyramid
- Crossed the Seine to dive into Rive Gauche (Left Bank)
- Dropped in at Boulangerie @poilane to sample their tarte aux pommes and bought a sourdough to bring back home
- Stood at the bar of the packed L'Avant Comptoir du Marché (by chef @yves_camdeborde) at Saint-Germain market and scarfed a lard+mustard sandwich washed down with a glass of rosé
- Walked back towards the river and was drawn in by live music at the piano bar @auxtroismailletz, so I stopped for another glass of wine
- One last look at the Notre-Dame Cathedral (had gone in the previous day)
- Caught a stunning Parisian spring/summer sunset (9.40 pm) on my way to the metro to catch a ride back to the hotel
Le fin!

A day at Roland-Garros 🎾 The French Open 2025 A day at Roland-Garros 🎾

The French Open 2025 begins today and I got a courtside view of the practice matches a couple of days ago. Atout France invited me and a few journalists from around the world to a VIP box with a view of Court Philippe-Chatrier (the main court at @rolandgarros).. The schedule wasn't out in advance, so I didn't know who I'd see in action. Imagine my surprise (and delight) when I saw the top seeds in both the women's and men's draws.

When I arrived, world no. 1 Aryna Sabalenka was playing Karolína Muchova. Next up, defending champion (and world no. 2) Carlos Alcaraz arrived to resounding applause and played against Francisco Cerundolo. Immediately after him, world no. 1 Jannik Sinner took the court against Casper Ruud. And just before I left, I caught world no. 2 Coco Gauff's match as well. It was truly a fantastic morning watching some great tennis action!

In between, there was some delish food to be had (the desserts were especially fab), plus Champagne to go with it, coz it's Paris 🥂

Thank you @explorefrance for this once-in-a-lifetime experience #hosted #frenchopen2025 #rolandgarros
Lima's vibrant and diverse food scene encompasses Lima's vibrant and diverse food scene encompasses everything from internationally acclaimed restaurants to bustling neighbourhood markets to street food carts. Over three days, I ate my way around the city (with a few sightseeing breaks!) and discovered a culinary scene that’s more than just delicious — it’s a reflection of Peru’s rich cultural history.

As you travel around Cusco and Peru’s Sacred Val As you travel around Cusco and Peru’s Sacred Valley, keep an eye on the rooftops. You will often find a pair of terracotta bulls standing atop houses. The tradition originated deep in the Andes, notably in the town of Pucará in the Puno region, hence these figurines are called Toritos de Pucará (torito means ‘little bull’). Toritos are considered a protective charm and are believed to bring prosperity and fertility.

One of the most fun experiences I had in Peru was painting my own torito at @totemiqperu in Cusco. I used the gold-leaf applique technique and acrylic colours to paint my cute pink-polka-dotted torito 🩷

Afternoon tea at Madeleine de Proust, the elegant Afternoon tea at Madeleine de Proust, the elegant botanical garden-inspired tea lounge at @fairmontmumbai

It's a gorgeous, light-filled space with cherry blossoms where you can sip an array of teas (try the blooming jasmine or crème brulée) and indulge in Indo-French delicacies (I loved their take on chaats), a loaded tea charlie, and of course the eponymous madeleines #newopening #restaurantreview #hosted

It's World Cocktail Day so here's a little ode to It's World Cocktail Day so here's a little ode to the Pisco Sour!

During my 10-day jaunt through Peru last month, not only did I down several pisco sours but I also learnt how to make one in a cooking class at @rooftopkitchenperu in Cusco. The standard recipe is three ounces of pisco and one ounce each of simple syrup, lime juice, and egg white. Mix it all in a cocktail shaker, add plenty of ice, and shake vigorously. After straining it into a glass (usually a rocks, old fashioned or a coupe glass), the final flourish is to add three drops of Angostura bitters.

Later that evening, I also learnt some tips and tricks from Miguel, the mixologist at @hotelpalaciodelinka’s Rumi Bar, including how to use an ancient Inca apparatus to make the cocktail!

Read all about pisco sour (and pisco, Peru's national spirit that makes it possible) in my weekend feature for Mint Lounge @livemintlounge, link in bio #published
